A Moment of Unity & Reflection at KMC.






Today, the Kanifing Municipal Council was honored to host Imam Ebrima Jarjue, Amirul Hajj and Second Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Council, at the invitation of Mayor Talib Ahmed Bensouda.
The revered Imam, who leads prayers at the Jimpex Mosque, joined KMC staff, councilors, and community members for Zuhr prayers at the KMC mosque. The gathering symbolized unity, faith, and shared commitment to communal growth.
Following the prayers, worshippers praised the initiative, offering heartfelt supplications for the continued development of Kanifing Municipality and The Gambia at large.
Mayor Talib Ahmed Bensouda thanked Imam Jarjue for his immeasurable contributions to the Islamic Deen and emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to further develop the KMC mosque as a hub for spiritual and community enrichment.
In response, Imam Jarjue expressed joy at the invitation, stating: “It is a privilege to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the mayor, staff, and leaders of KMC in prayer. Such initiatives strengthen our bonds and reflect the beauty of collective worship.”
