MAYOR BENSOUDA HOSTS PRESIDENT ERNST WOLFER AND MAYOR OF PARCELLES ASSAINIES

This morning, Mayor Bensouda had the honor of hosting two esteemed guests: Mr. Ernst Wolfer, President of the Vienna Assembly, and Aboubacar Djamil Sane, Mayor of Parcelle Assainiues, Senegal who doubles as the National Treasurer of PASTEF. Their visit to Kanifing aimed to explore potential areas of collaboration. Mr. Wolfer extended a gracious invitation for Mayor Bensouda to visit Vienna, strengthening the bond between our cities. Thrilled by the partnership prospects, Mayors Bensouda and Sane agreed to formalize the relationship between Parcelle and KMC through a Memorandum of Understanding, establishing a sister city relationship. Affordable housing took center stage during the meeting. Vienna, renowned for its excellence in this field, has provided nearly 100,000 affordable homes and has been recognized as the most livable city worldwide for 15 consecutive years. KMC is eager to garner support and learn from their experiences in this sector. Both Mayor Bensouda and Sane aim to leverage Vienna’s expertise and support to benefit both Parcelle and KMC.
