The IGBO Community in The Gambia honors the Mayor with the Title of ‘Onwa N’Etiri oha di Oweri‘
The Igbo Community in the Gambia on ‘Oweri Day’ 2022, bestow on Mayor Talib Ahmed Bensouda the honor of ‘Onwa N’Etiri oha ndi oweri’ meaning shining star of the people. The title is to exemplify the mayor’s work of tolerance and accommodating people of diverse backgrounds.
