SereKunda West Africell Mini Stadium

The Mayor of Kanifing Municipality is excited to announce that the Serekunda West Football Committee, Africell and Kanifing Municipal Council have come to an agreement to transform the Serekunda west park to the first Mini-stadium in Kanifing Municipality.

This new Mini-stadium which will receive Major Development beginning on December 14^th 2022, following its launching will be completed over a 3/4 year period with a major Capital investment from Africell in boosting the following:

1) A track

2) 2 pavilions with inbuilt changing rooms, toilets and referees quarters.

3) 2 multipurpose courts

4) Admin Building and Sky box

5) Outdoor gym

6) Restaurant

7) A standard football field

8) Standard performing stage and state of the art equipment

9) 42 standard shops

10) Outdoor seating and leisure environment

This tripartite agreement is a win win win; Africell will enjoy the branding rights and free staging of corporate events to the field for the next 20 years renewable, the football committee shall manage the sporting activities and programming, income generated from the sports facilities including portions of rental income generated by Kanifing Municipality, Kanifing Municipal Council generates income from rentals and non-sport related facilities.

This is a game changing model, we would like to see across all our sports facilities in the region.
