Youth & Sport Minister, Hon. Hadrammeh M. Sidibeh, visits KMC to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the young people of our municipality. The Honourable Minister is on an annual tour of the country promoting the development of youth and sports in our communities. Hon. Sidibeh paid a courtesy call to Deputy Mayor, Musa Bah, and he visited many football parks throughout the municipality.

In a round table discussion with youth, the Hon. Minister lamented the need to revitalize football parks in the municipality, especially through the maintenance of fences and other facilities. He emphasized that working with the management of football parks is essential to sustainable development.

The Deputy Mayor urged the Hon. Minister to revitalize the National Youth Service Scheme because as an alumnus himself he sees many development opportunities for youth in the scheme. He highlighted the Council’s partnership with Supersonicz to launch a D20 million Youth Development Fund to provide financing opportunities to young entrepreneurs, which is championed by the Youth Councillor, Kemo Bojang.

The Deputy Mayor encouraged partnerships to provide education opportunities to youth, in order to help them focus on technical skill enhancement and local development initiatives. #Together4ABetterKMC
