Promoting Safety, Unity and Sustainability Through Solar Lighting in Bakoteh

The Bakoteh Sunrise School, under the management of the Bakoteh Ward Development Committee (WDC), today handed over 20 solar-powered lights to the Bakoteh community for installation at the Muslim and Christian cemeteries. This generous contribution will improve visibility and security at these sacred sites, making it safer for families and community members to visit during the evening and early morning hours while preserving the dignity of the final resting places of their loved ones.
The initiative also reflects the values of unity, compassion, and environmental sustainability. By equally supporting both Muslim and Christian cemeteries through clean solar energy, the project reinforces Bakoteh’s enduring spirit of peaceful coexistence and demonstrates how community-led initiatives can make a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of residents.
