KMC EXPLORES COLLABORATION WITH SMD POLICY MANAGEMENT GROUP

A delegation from the Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC), led by the CEO, recently paid a visit to the headquarters of SMD Policy Management Group in Bijilo. The purpose of this visit was to explore avenues for collaboration between the two institutions aimed at enhancing the capabilities of council staff and securing resources for the council’s new strategic development plan. During the meeting, fruitful discussions took place regarding potential areas of cooperation. Both parties delved into strategies for capacity building initiatives and explored ways to mobilize resources effectively to support the implementation of the council’s strategic goals. One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the consideration of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between KMC and SMD Policy Management Group. This MOU would serve as a framework for enhancing coordination, implementing capacity building programs, providing operational guidance, and facilitating resource mobilization efforts to support the council’s strategic development plan. As both institutions look forward to a promising collaboration, the visit marked an important step towards fostering partnerships that will drive sustainable development and progress within the Kanifing municipality.
