Promoting Inclusivity and Advocating for Access to Education: Bethgold Foundation Partners with KMC Radio

In a significant step towards fostering inclusivity and advocating for access to education in Gambian, the Bethgold Foundation has today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with KMC Radio – The People’s Radio. This partnership aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by persons with disabilities to access education and also seeks to steer meaningful discussions at the community level on combating prejudice on differently abled people. Education is a fundamental human right, and the Bethgold Foundation and KMC Radio believes that every individual, regardless of ability, should have equal opportunities and access to learn and grow. This partnership will seek to amplify the voices of those people who have faced obstacles in pursuing education due to their disabilities, the radio programs will emphasize the urgency of implementing inclusive educational policies for a more inclusive society, with a particular focus on ensuring accessible and affordable education for individuals with disabilities. KMC Radio will provide the platform for individuals to share their experiences for better understanding by members of society. Being the leading online radio, KMC FM can play a crucial role in disseminating information and fostering community engagement. Through its extensive reach, the radio will broadcast programs and discussions that will highlight the importance of inclusivity and also advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities. Community engagement will be a cornerstone of this collaborative effort. The foundation and the radio will work hand in hand to organize community outreach programs, awareness campaigns, and workshops to advocate for the differently abled.
