The Kanifing Municipal Council reminds the General Public that Indiscriminate Dumping of Waste

The appalling act of indiscriminate dumping of Litter facilitates the spread of diseases as trash improperly or indiscriminately discarded becomes breeding grounds for bacteria. This leads to the spread of diseases, viruses and parasites.

Equally, litter along the highways could be costly and dangerous for motorists and pedestrians.

Of late, a couple of people were apprehended for littering our highways. As seen in these photos, a truck load of garbage and a donkey cart were caught in the act. The Council will waste no time in prosecuting these and feature offenders.

We therefore urge our residents to support the Council in its drive to keep KMC clean.
