The Mayor Attended the 10TH Edition of the Fulbe Africa International Cultural Festival
The Mayor was invited as a special guest to the 10TH edition of Fulbe Africa International Cultural Festival on the 26th December 2022.
The Mayor was accompanied by his wife Madam Salimatou Jallow Bensouda to the event held at QCity, which saw series of cultural performance from drama groups, oral historians and various musical artist from the Gambia, Senegal, Mali and Guinea and by Baba Maal the Senegalese supers star who performed as one of the guest artists that night for the fulbe community.
Mayor – “I was impressed with the rich cultural performances on display and particularly impressed with the President of Fulbe Africa Mr. ALieu Sowe’s speech promoting cultural diversity around a national Gambian identity as a source of strength and unity.”
Theme for this year’s edition was – ‘Building Sustainable Communities Through Culture and Heritage‘.
