Aid Appeal for Flood Victims of Kanifing Municipality!
The Kanifing Municipality received over 276 mm of rain from the 30th to 31st of July 2022, according to statistics reported by the Department Water Resources’ sub office in the Banjul International Air Port. Several households were affected during the cause of the rain.as a result of the July 31st incidents, an immediate tour of some of the affected areas was ordered by the Office of the Lord Mayor, this tour included the NATIONAL DISASTER MANAGEMENT AGENCY, COMMUNITY SERVICE DEPARTMENT of KMC and the RED CROSS, the objective of the tour was to assess and determine the level of damage, who is in need and vulnerable, findings were such that 1,378 Households Were affected of which 14,895 People Suffered Losses. watch the below video for more detail of the Aid Appeal…..,
