DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF SERVICES STARTS EXECUTIVE MASTERS PROGRAM IN MOROCCO

Mr. Lamin Badjie, Deputy Director of Services and head of our GIS Unit is in ifrane, Morocco on a UCLG sponsored Executive Masters program. The program is aimed at enhancing the leadership and managerial skills of professionals in the field of local governance. The program which is hosted by the prestigious Al-Alakhawayn University typically includes modules on urban development, local government management, public policy, and sustainable development, among other topics. It is designed for senior officials, and other leaders in local governments to help them address the complex challenges of urban management and governance. The curriculum often combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications, including case studies, workshops, and networking opportunities. Mr. Badgie amd his fellow participants will gain insights into innovative practices and global trends in local governance, enabling them to implement effective strategies in their own Local governments. This program will support cities in Africa to play a critical role in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
