LARRY S. KACHER FAMILY FOUNDATION SPONSORS 16 YOUTHS TO ACQUIRE VOCATIONAL SKILLS

The Larry S. Kacher Family Foundation made a significant contribution on Thursday, April 24th, 2024, by sponsoring 16 youths to acquire skills in Hairdressing and Cosmetology at the Vicky’s Hairdressing and Skills Centre in Fajara, The Gambia. The event was graced by the presence of Mrs. Binta Janneh-Jallow, the Deputy Mayor of the Kanifing Municipality, alongside the sponsors and founders of the Larry S. Kacher Family Foundation: Mr. Larry S. Kacher, his wife Mrs. Pauline Kacher, and their Gambia Representative, Mr. Samuel Owusu Amako. The ceremony was attended by the newly sponsored students, their parents, and guardians, as well as a delegation of councilors and opinion leaders from the Kanifing Municipality. This sponsorship initiative, spearheaded by the Foundation, was made possible through the facilitation of Mrs. Binta Janneh-Jallow, the Deputy Mayor of Kanifing. In her remarks at the event, she emphasized the importance of increasing the number of girls and women acquiring trade skills and empowering the youth to contribute to national development. Mrs. Janneh-Jallow extended her heartfelt gratitude to the Kachers and their Foundation on behalf of the students, their families, the government, and the people of The Gambia for their charitable gesture. She offered prayers for their continued well-being.
