Kanifing Municipal Council Begins Participatory Budgeting

In its efforts to promote citizens participation in the budgetary process of the Council, a public exercise is currently underway to give Kanifing Municipality residents the voice to decide how public funds are spent. The exercise which is being attended by some CSOs is spearheaded by the Departments of Services, Finance and Planning. The team will visit all 19 wards to interact with residents and give participants the platform to discuss and prioritize their development needs. Already the team have been in Bartez and Bakau New Town wards.
