Deputy Mayor Welcomes Guests at National Youth and Women Agribusiness Trade Fair

This morning, Deputy Mayor Madam Binta Janneh Jallow delivered the opening remarks at the official launch of The National Youth and Women Agribusiness and Tourism Trade Fair. The 20-day event is being held at the Independence Stadium and it is aimed at showcasing innovation, talent, and entrepreneurship for small-scale and medium businesses from The Gambia and the subregion. Organized by the Gambia Youth Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Gambia Women Chamber of Commerce, the Trade Fair aims to foster growth in the agribusiness and tourism sectors. Deputy Mayor Janneh, representing Mayor Talib Bensouda, congratulated Ms. Fatima Mulushi, the newly appointed Acting CEO of GYCC. Janneh emphasized the crucial role of supporting youth and women in these industries, urging stakeholders to intensify their efforts in empowering businesses led by the youth and women. She was accompanied to the event by the Councilor representing Women and Children at KMC.
