The Deputy Mayor was at the National Youth Service Scheme (NYSS) for the Opening Ceremony of the Kanifing Municipality Scout Camp

The camp is organized by the Scout fraternity to Forster leadership, outdoor skills, and character development amongst the young scouts. the Deputy Mayor deputized the Lord Mayor Talib Ahmed Bensouda at the ceremony and was accompanied to the event by the KMC Youth and Sport Committee chairperson Councillor Baboucarr Mansally and was received by the Reginal Commissioner KM Scouts, National Scouts Trainer and Chairman of the KM scouts Council.

Scouts are known for the formation of character; sound health habits, acquiring of useful skills; and the cultivation of a proper spirit of service.

We hope that the pursuit of this aims will lead to the development of good citizenship among the scouts attending this important camp.
