Kanifing Municipal Council Female Councillors Attend Trainning Workshop On GENDER

Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) through its country office, this morning started a two’-day training workshop for Female Councillors and marginalized groups at the Baobab Holiday Resort in Bijilo. The workshop seeks to address issues of gender and development as a means to strengthen democracy and good governance at the grassroots.
Kanifing Municipal Council is being represented at the training by the Deputy Mayor Madam Binta Janneh Jallow , Agie Saptieu Jaye, Councillor for London Corner, Joko Fatou Njie, Councillor for Bundung Six Junction and Mariama Chubalo Drammeh, Councillor for Dippakunda.
The training according to the Organizers is geared towards enabling women Councillors to become more responsive to the needs of women and marginalized groups.
