Mayor Bensouda’s Tobaski Message to KM Residents

I would like to send my best wishes to Muslims of the Kanifing Municipality in particular and The Gambia in general on the occasion of the celebration of Eid ul Adha.

Eid-ul-Adha locally known as Tobaski is regarded as the second most important festival in the Muslim calendar and since it is celebrated following the end of the Hajj pilgrimage, it serves as an opportunity for not only worshippers to gather, pray and celebrate, but to donate to charities and vulnerable families in our communities.

I therefore urge the residence of KM to celebrate this day together and pray for peace and tranquility to reign in our country and the world at large. Eid Mubarak.
