Children’s Parliament Members in KM Visits the Lord Mayor
The Honourable members of the Children’s Parliament in KM visit Lord Mayor Bensouda a week after International Children’s Day to shed light on issues affecting Children of KM including:- Child Labour- Child Abuse- Resources for Orphanages- Parks- Resources for Education- Minors roaming streets at night among many other issues. The Honourable members accompanied by the KMYC Chairperson Isatou Secka ask for KMC’s intervention in some of these areas.
The mayor has assured them that these issues will be considered in future by-laws and immediate remedies using the councils youth budget will be employed to intervene in the shortest possible time.
