KMC Councilor Participates in Climate Action & SDGs Seminar in Beijing China

The Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC) is pleased to announce that its Councillor for the Manjai Kunda/Kotu Ward, Lamin Jammeh, is participating in a Seminar on Climate Action and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Developing Countries in Beijing, China.

The seminar, taking place from 25 August to 14 September 2026, is organised by the International Cooperation Center (ICC) of China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and brings together government officials from developing countries to exchange knowledge and strengthen capacity on climate action and sustainable development.

Councillor Jammeh’s participation provides an important opportunity to gain valuable insights and share experiences that can contribute to climate resilience, sustainable urban development and the achievement of the SDGs at the local government level in The Gambia.
