The Committee has seven (7) members comprising four (4) Councillors, two subject matter specialists, and one (1) Ex-Co members. All the subject matter specialists are non-staff of the Council. The CEO sits in the Committee as an Ex-Offcio member.

TERMS OF REFERENCE OF THE COMMITTEE
The Committee is mandated:
- To develop policies for Youth and Sport Development within the Kanifing Municipality.
- To provide Council with advice and recommendations on issues relative to opportunities for youth and Sports Development.
- Manage relationships with existing groups to ensure that activities and events are
reported on in line with the KMC Policies. - Identify activities and partnerships with other bodies that are operating in the Youth and Sports Sector.
- Organizing activities that would encourage opportunities for youth and Sports engagement in and around the communities;
- Perform such additional tasks as may be delegated by the Council
The Committee meets once every month unless required otherwise.
